Here is mum and dad in their apartment with baby Richerd and Lesley.
After my dad retired, they sold the house in Joss Lane and bought a newly renovated apartment at 47 Main Street. This was to make their lives easier as they no longer had to climb the steep hill from the village to our home. It also made it easy for their friends to pop in for a 'cuppa'.

In 1976 I was asked to join a computer company to develop and support the operating system of one of their mainframe computer lines. The offices were in Dalkeith, a town just east of Edinburgh.
While looking for a house to buy, we rented a 'Scottish Special' on a housing estate. On the edge of the estate was open ground and this willow tree just out in bloom.
